“NBA 2K20” is expected to add players from the WNBA league as has been hinted by Renee Montgomery and A’ja Wilson via Twitter. However, Take-Two hasn’t provided details about the inclusion and it’s unclear how the game will use both these stars upon its release.

Will “NBA 2K20” add the entire WNBA into the game or will it only select a few players to start things off? While the inclusion of Wilson and Montgomery indicates that the former will be coming to the franchise in the future, it’s not a confirmation that the soon-to-be-released entry will do so, SwishAppeal reported. As such, fans have tued to speculation what the studio is planning for “NBA 2K20” and their decision to include both stars into the game. Forbes has outlined options that Take-Two can take if they ever decide to inject the WNBA in the franchise.

Aside from gameplay improvements and rankings, fans are also excited to see who gets to be main featured athlete this year in the “NBA 2K20” cover. There are very few discussions up at this point, but the names of James Harden and Joel Embiid have already popped up in some online threads.Players of the National Basketball Association are certainly focused on bringing their respective teams to the playoffs. With basketball fans being pretty much forced to buy the new NBA 2K game each year because the alteative offers a substantially inferior experience, it's easy for 2K to be complacent and not put in tons of effort in their new game because people will buy it.However, things might finally be a bit different this year with NBA 2K20, as there are some hints and rumours going around that the new NBA 2K game could feature WNBA teams. Namely, the power forward of Las Vegas Aces and a WNBA star, A'ja Wilson, tweeted a photo of herself inside the 2K scanning booth with a "coming soon" caption, implying that she will soon be featured in the game.

Meanwhile, there are several gameplay changes and improvements that are expected to be applied in “NBA 2K20.” Sportskeeda suggests that players might see a major overhaul in the title's in-game currency and a more manageable player caps when building their teams.A more apparent change happening in “NBA 2K20” has something to do with its featured players. Earlier this year, several players from the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) dropped clues that they are joining the roster of the sports simulation game. It is unclear, however, if they are going to be added in the roster or will have limited appearances such as being characters in MyCareer.“NBA 2K20” is most likely going to be released in fall, just like its predecessors. Official teasers are possibly arriving at the E3 stage in June.
